A calculator just for Starbucks coffee
This is the espresso-and-coffee version of our Starbucks tool. It strips the menu down to caffeinated coffee drinks — brewed coffee, Americano, cold brew, latte, cappuccino, flat white, Caramel Macchiato, mocha and coffee Frappuccinos — so you can dial in your usual order without scrolling past teas and refreshers.
Where the calories hide in coffee drinks
Plain coffee and espresso are almost free, calorie-wise. What turns a 5-calorie coffee into a 400-calorie treat is everything around it: steamed milk, flavored syrups, mocha or white-chocolate sauce, whipped cream and drizzle. Because this calculator separates the espresso base from the milk and the add-ons, you can see exactly which choice is costing you and adjust just that one.
Smart swaps for a lighter coffee
- Order an Americano or cold brew instead of a sugary blended drink
- Choose nonfat or almond milk — they're the lightest fills
- Ask for sugar-free syrup, or cut a pump or two
- Skip whipped cream on your mocha to save 70 to 110 calories
- Size down: a tall latte is meaningfully lighter than a venti
How the estimate is built
Each coffee drink starts from a milk-free base (the espresso, brewed coffee or Frappuccino syrup), then adds the milk you select, your syrup pumps and any toppings — all scaled by cup size. Base values come from Starbucks' published nutrition information for standard recipes, so the result is a close estimate rather than an exact label.
