Calorie values are estimates based on Starbucks' published nutrition information. Real drinks vary by ±20% with pour size, recipe and store.

A calculator just for Starbucks coffee

This is the espresso-and-coffee version of our Starbucks tool. It strips the menu down to caffeinated coffee drinks — brewed coffee, Americano, cold brew, latte, cappuccino, flat white, Caramel Macchiato, mocha and coffee Frappuccinos — so you can dial in your usual order without scrolling past teas and refreshers.

Where the calories hide in coffee drinks

Plain coffee and espresso are almost free, calorie-wise. What turns a 5-calorie coffee into a 400-calorie treat is everything around it: steamed milk, flavored syrups, mocha or white-chocolate sauce, whipped cream and drizzle. Because this calculator separates the espresso base from the milk and the add-ons, you can see exactly which choice is costing you and adjust just that one.

Smart swaps for a lighter coffee

    • Order an Americano or cold brew instead of a sugary blended drink
    • Choose nonfat or almond milk — they're the lightest fills
    • Ask for sugar-free syrup, or cut a pump or two
    • Skip whipped cream on your mocha to save 70 to 110 calories
    • Size down: a tall latte is meaningfully lighter than a venti

    How the estimate is built

Each coffee drink starts from a milk-free base (the espresso, brewed coffee or Frappuccino syrup), then adds the milk you select, your syrup pumps and any toppings — all scaled by cup size. Base values come from Starbucks' published nutrition information for standard recipes, so the result is a close estimate rather than an exact label. Frequently asked questions

What counts as a "coffee" drink here?

This focused tool lists only caffeinated coffee and espresso drinks — brewed coffee, Americano, latte, cappuccino, flat white, macchiato, mocha and coffee-based Frappuccinos. Teas, refreshers and crème Frappuccinos are left out.

How many calories are in a Starbucks black coffee?

Brewed Pike Place coffee with no milk or sugar is about 5 calories for a tall and 10 for a venti. An Americano is similarly low at 10 to 25 calories.

How many calories are in a grande latte?

A grande Caffè Latte is about 145 calories in this calculator (espresso base plus 2% milk). Nonfat milk brings it near 105, while whole milk pushes it to roughly 165.

What is the lowest-calorie Starbucks coffee?

Black brewed coffee, espresso shots, an Americano with no milk, and unsweetened cold brew are all under 25 calories. Add a splash of milk for very little extra.

    Are these numbers exact?

No — they are estimates from Starbucks' published nutrition data. Pour size, recipe changes and barista variation mean your actual drink can differ by around 20%.
